The Board |
| DNC is
a registered charity in Nepal run by 9 local board members. A chairman is elected every 2
years. The board meets regularly to oversee the running of the centre. They supervise the staff and decide on which children are admitted to the centre. For those who cannot be accommodated they arrange a medical assessment and corrective surgery if necessary. Sometimes a short time stay at the centre is required for rehabilitation. The board raises funds and awareness in Nepal and is responsible to the Social Welfare Council of Nepal to ensure that the centre is properly managed. Fran McGowan and Robert Rose are honorary board members and oversee funds raised by their respective organisations. |
